Opening night. Honoured to have my SWAT Cabinets selected for this show.
MATERIALIZE features artists who work with a variety of different materials including wood, metal and textiles.
I enjoyed watching people smile when they opened of of the finely crafted cabinets and found a cheap, plastic flyswatter inside.
The cabinets open in the style of the classic guitar “coffin case” and feature a mitered frame and panel door and case.
In addition to the fine woodworking cabinets in the exhibit, a collection of painted SWATs are available. $60-$70
